About this policy

United Strength & Fitness ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose your personal information, and how we handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

It applies to this website and to the personal information we collect when you train, enquire or hold a membership with us.

Information we collect

We collect personal information you give us directly, including your name, email address, phone number and any message you send through our contact form or by email.

When you become a member or book a class, additional information (such as emergency contacts, health and fitness information relevant to training safely, and billing details) is collected and managed through PushPress, our membership, booking and payments provider.

When you visit this website, we collect limited, aggregated technical information (such as pages viewed and general location) through privacy-friendly analytics.

How we use your information

We use your information to respond to your enquiries, arrange your free first class, manage your membership and bookings, keep you informed about your training and our services, coach you safely, and meet our legal and safety obligations.

We will only send you marketing communications where we are permitted to, and you can opt out at any time. We do not sell your personal information.

Payments

We do not collect or store your card or bank details on this website. Membership sign-up and payments are handled securely by PushPress under their own privacy and security practices.

Cookies and analytics

We use privacy-friendly, cookieless website analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors. The embedded class timetable is provided by PushPress and may set its own cookies.

Disclosure to third parties

We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run the gym and this website, such as PushPress (memberships, bookings, payments), our contact-form provider, and our analytics provider. These providers handle your information under their own privacy policies and only for the purposes of providing their service to us.

We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.

Overseas storage

Some of our providers (including PushPress) may store information on servers located outside Australia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Keeping your information secure

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access or disclosure, and to destroy or de-identify it when it is no longer needed.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing team@trainunited.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us at team@trainunited.com.au or +61 458 615 116 and we will work to resolve it. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
